    The Psychotherapy Practice Research Network (PPRNet) is offering a unique opportunity to Canadian and American therapists and patients to improve mental health care through research. We are offering evidence-based virtual professional development training to clinicians who provide psychotherapy to improve the therapeutic alliance between therapists and patients.



    Study Goals

      • To assess the efficacy of an evidence-based professional development program delivered in a convenient accessible virtual format
      • To improve the effectiveness of mental health professionals and trainees to develop and maintain a therapeutic alliance
      • To improve mental health outcomes for patients from all backgrounds

    What is the PPRNet?

      • The Psychotherapy Practice Research Network (PPRNet) is a Canada wide inter-disciplinary collaboration among psychotherapy clinicians, educators, researchers, knowledge users, and professional organizations to advance evidence-based psychotherapy practices. The PPRNet operates in part through generous support and funding by the University of Ottawa and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
      • PPRNet is a vehicle to improve psychotherapists’ effectiveness and client mental health outcomes. PPRNet provides a monthly e-newsletter that summarizes the best in psychotherapy research with practice implications for the busy clinician. Mental health professionals and students can join the network for free by going to our website.
